First and foremost I collage. Forming layers as I draw, sew, weave, sculpt and print. I create works that are intended to be worn, framed, or engaged with. The aspect of chance is prevalent, representing the unrealized potential of happy accidents. I carry an aesthetic with me that embraces marks left from erasers, knotted thread, rips, wrinkles, and pencil marks. These are what make up the memories of our everyday lives which have supported us to grow. I embrace these memories and chance happenings in my work in an attempt to communicate my growth within the spaces I inhabit, and challenge the viewer to explore their own growth and the space which affects it.
